WESTERN AVE
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Western Avenue for the report of a motor
vehicle accident with injuries. When officers arrived, they came to the aid
of the driver involved in the accident before he was transported to the
hospital for his injuries. Officers on scene could smell a strong scent of
alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver and his motor vehicle. There
were also multiple bottles of beer lying inside the vehicle, one of which was
open. The driver exhibited multiple signs of intoxication both on scene and
at the hospital. The driver was subsequently summonsed for operating a motor
vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

accident on Spring Street. The suspect was found to be operating a motor
vehicle unlicensed and was issued a summons for the crime. The owner of the
motor vehicle was issued a summons for allowing unlicensed operation of a
motor vehicle.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of River Street for the report of a
past malicious destruction to a motor vehicle.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Brookline Street and Green Street
for the report of a larceny in progress. A witness saw two males cutting the
cable lock off of a bicycle that was secured to a street sign on Brookline
Street and then leaving the area with two bicycles. The two males were
stopped a short distance away on Green Street by officers. It was determined
that both males were in possession of bicycles that they admitted did not
belong to them. One of the males also admitted to having tried to cut the
lock on another bicycle but stated that he was unable to cut the lock. Carlton
Curtis Spence, 53, of 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA, was arrested for
receiving stolen property over $250 and attempt to commit a crime. The other
male was summonsed to court for the offense of receiving stolen property
valued under $250.
