Cambridge Bicyclist Dies Following Crash

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christopher Burke have announced that the bicyclist struck by a landscaping vehicle earlier today has died. At approximately 12:17 p.m. today, Amanda Phillips, 27, of Cambridge, was struck by a landscaping truck at the intersection of Hampshire and Cambridge Street in Cambridge. She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. This is an open and active investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section and Cambridge Police Department. No additional information is being released at this time.
