Jason Banville, 37, 201 4th Street in Fall River, was observed operating a motor vehicle with an expired sticker and a broken windshield. He was pulled over for the violations and was found later to be operating the motor vehicle with a suspended license and a warrant out of Dedham District Court.

A Soden Street resident came to CPD headquarters on 8/4/16 to report that an unknown person(s) stole her bike between 7/21/16 and 7/31/16 while she was out of town. The bike was locked to the fence and it appears as if the fence was cut. The value of the bike was $650.

A Cambridge resident came to CPD headquarters to report that he was the victim of identity fraud. The resident states that he Googled himself on 8/2/16 and discovered that there was a man using all of his personal information, name, date of birth, address and place where he grew up. The resident states that as of the date of this report, he has not lost any money yet, but feels that something is definitely wrong.

A Cambridge resident entered the Cambridge Police Department to report that he had wired $2000 to an individual whom had posted a studio for rent in the Boston area. The studio was non-existent and the funds were debited from the victim’s checking account.

SIDNEY ST
Cambridge Police responded to a Sidney Street business for the report of a shoplifter that was being detained and was uncooperative. A female shoplifter was stopped and detained after loss prevention staff observed her placing merchandise into her handbag and exiting the store with the items in her possession without paying for them. It was subsequently revealed that the female had previously been trespassed from the store. Tiffany Savage, 43, 32 Putnam Avenue in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation and Trespass.

Cambridge Police responded to a Sidney Street business for the report of a shoplifter that was being detained by loss prevention staff. A male shoplifter was stopped and detained after loss prevention staff observed him tucking merchandise into his pants and exiting the store with the items in his possession without paying for them. Lonnie Fitts, 46, 307 Bowdoin Street in Dorchester, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation.
