Cambridge Police Investigating Gunshots on Columbia Street

The Cambridge Police are currently investigating reports of gunshots that occurred early this morning on Columbia Street across the street from Clement Morgan Park.

Following a ShotSpotter activation, Cambridge Police responded to a Columbia Street apartment building at approximately 2:58 a.m. for a report of multiple gunshots. Cambridge Police located and recovered two rounds on a hallway floor inside the building, while another round was lodged in a metal exterior door. There are currently no reported injuries or victims. Upon arrival, one resident reported possibly hearing a motor vehicle screeching away after the gunshots were fired, but they were not able to provide a description of a vehicle.

Anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
