The BridgeStat Monthly Crime Report produced by the Cambridge Police Department Crime Analysis Unit was recently recognized by the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) and awarded third place in the statistical report category of the analytical products contest. This is the second occasion in the past five years that the BridgeStat presentation has been so honored. This is a significant achievement as the IACA receives submissions for this contest from many departments across the country and internationally.
The award was presented during the International Association of Crime Analysts 2016 Annual Training Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, which ran from September 19 – 23, 2016. The conference had more than 400 attendees from 34 states, the District of Columbia, Austria, Canada, Chile, Columbia, France, Hong Kong, Netherlands, South Korea, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United Kingdom.
Over the past 20 years, the Crime Analysis Unit of the Cambridge Police Department has received International awards on seven occasions for its Annual Reports, Crime Bulletins, and BridgeStat presentations.
