Cambridge Police were dispatched to a restaurant at Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a suspect threating an employee with a gun. The suspect was identified and it was determined that they were unarmed.

A Hancock Street resident reports that sometime during the overnight hours, an unknown suspect broke into his parked motor vehicle by unknown means. Once inside, a suspect rummaged through vehicle's interior and stole a gym bag from the front seat.

Jarrod Vincent, 43, 254 Mount Auburn Street in Watertown, was arrested on Franklin Street at Pearl Street by virtue of warrants out of Waltham District Court for Assault and Battery and Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Plymouth District Court for Assault and Battery.

GURNEY ST
A Gurney Street resident states on 1/4/2017, an unidentified person purported to be her grandson in need of bail money in the amount of $2,000. Suspects demanded payment by two $1,000 Target gift cards. The resident refused.

CAMBRIDGE ST
Frank Spingel, 46, 69 East Main Street in Norton, was arrested at Cambridge Street on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court on 12/30/2016. Charges on the warrant are for Assault and Battery and two counts of Threat to Commit a crime. Spingel refused to cooperate with the booking process at the time of this report.

A Cambridge resident reported getting scammed by an individual claiming to be an IRS agent. The suspect obtained $3000 in Target gift cards from the victim as payment for an outstanding IRS bill of which there was none.

Cambridge police were dispatched to Sacramento Street for a report of a past identity theft. Upon arrival, it was determined that a female victim had her personal information stolen so that someone could apply for a debit card.

A victim reported that her packages were stolen from her front porch on Hammond Street last month. At this time, there are no suspects or witnesses to this theft.

HARVARD ST
Chikh Toure, 32, 13 Alston Street of Somerville, was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a restaurant for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers witnessed Toure acting in an aggressive manner, yelling, swearing and challenging patrons to fight, acting in a tumultuous manner by pushing a table and chairs into customers. Customers backed away from Toure showing alarm by his behavior as several customers with children left the establishment to avoid the conflict. It was confirmed that Toure was trespassed earlier in the day by the owner in the presence of officers. Further investigation revealed a warrant out of Cambridge District Court.

SIDNEY ST
A Cambridge resident entered the Cambridge Police Department to report that she believes there are hidden cameras in her apartment. The reporting person stated that she has contacted the building management since she moved in March of 2016 that the cameras are filming her while she is home and nothing has been done about it. The management company reports they sent personnel to check her apartment and informed her that there were no cameras in her apartment.
