Samuel Cuddy, 26, 64 Inman Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession of Class B & C. Officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash. Officers observed Cuddy in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was on top of another vehicle. Cuddy was observed to have bloodshot eyes with constricted pupils, while being extremely unsteady on his feet. Cuddy was given Standard Field Sobriety Tests and his performance of the tests allowed police to determine that he was under the influence of drugs. In the vehicle were loose prescription pills and a white powdery substance that was determined -- based on officers training and experience -- to be cocaine.

A Concord Avenue resident contacted the Cambridge Police to report that at approximately 7:35 a.m. her motor vehicle was side-swiped by another passenger vehicle as she traveled southbound on Cambridge Street. The victim states that the suspect vehicle never stopped to exchange insurance information and continued down Cambridge Street before turning and heading towards Somerville. The victim's vehicle sustained damage to its front 1/4 panel. No injuries were reported.

BERKSHIRE ST
Neil Fidler, 41, 288 Prospect Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol. Officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Berkshire Street. Officers observed Fidler in the driver’s seat of a car that had hit two parked vehicles. Fidler was observed to be lethargic, slurred speech, had an odor of alcohol, while being severely unsteady on this feet. Fidler was given Standard Field Sobriety Tests and his performance on the tests allowed police to determine that he was under the influence of drugs. A 1.75 liter bottle of vodka was found in the vehicle on the passenger seat with an estimated 1/20th remaining in the bottle. Several prescription medications were found in the vehicle. A Breathalyzer Test administered at CPD determined a blood alcohol content of .25 exceeding the legal limit of .08.

PORTER RD
A Porter Road resident reported that she was involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash. She was driving on Davenport Street towards Mass Ave. when the suspect motor vehicle sideswiped her vehicle driving in the opposite direction going towards Elm Street. The unknown operator of the suspect vehicle continued to drive away from the scene without stopping and exchanging information with the victim. The victim was able to get the suspect vehicle's plate as it drove away.
