TRAFFIC INVESTIGATIONS

HARVARD ST
Officers responded to a two car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Prospect Street and Harvard Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke to all parties on scene where they learned that one of the motor vehicle involved attempted to go around a motor vehicle in the lane of traffic causing this motor vehicle to crash into another motor vehicle exiting a parking lot into the lane of traffic. Two of the individuals involved in the crash were transported to a local hospital via Professional Ambulance for further medical care. One of the motor vehicles involved was towed from the crash scene.

OTIS ST
A Cambridge resident reported that he was being contacted by an unknown suspect for money. The resident had given the suspect money as a sign of compassion. The suspect has now contacted the resident and wants more money.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
A resident of Cambridge was struck by a motor vehicle while he was crossing Prospect Street in the crosswalk. The involved suspect vehicle was a grey Saab, unknown MA registration number, that fled the scene after the crash. The victim suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention.

LARCENY OVER $250 c266 S30

CAMBRIDGESIDE PL
Guihermo Guirieres, 35, 540 Columbia Road in Boston, was arrested at Cambridgeside Place for Larceny over $250. Guirieres was observed by Loss Prevention officers taking two shirts of a rack and walking out of the store without paying for them. Those shirts are valued at $85 each. A subsequent investigation revealed he also stole the leather jacket he was wearing, which was valued at $120.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report that her wallet was stolen on 1/15/17 in the Garden Street area. The Cambridge resident informed the police that there was over $250.00 worth of goods in her wallet.
