Joey Richards, 37, a homeless male from Maine, was placed under arrest on Hancock Street for four counts of attempt to commit a crime (B&E daytime for felony) after an off-duty Cambridge Police Detective observed him attempting to gain access to four different residences in the area.

A resident of Fresh Pond Parkway states a white male attempted to enter his home through the rear sunroom at 1:59 p.m. on 3/8/17. When confronted by the resident, the suspect stated he was looking for someone and provided a name. When the reporting party stated no one by that name lived there, the suspect walked away toward Huron Avenue.

A resident of Saugus entered the police station to report a hit and run crash. The resident states while parked on Essex Street, a small red 4-door vehicle struck the front right corner of his vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued on Essex Street failing to stop to make themselves known. The reporting party had no further description of the vehicle or operator.

Cambridge Police received a panic alarm from a teller inside a bank on Alewife Brook Parkway. Shortly after, it was then reported that a robbery had just occurred at the bank. The suspect passed a note to the teller and fled with a sum of cash.
