The Cambridge Police are currently investigating reports of gunshots that occurred late last night in the area of Sciarappa Street and Hurley Street.
Following reports of multiple gunshots, Cambridge Police responded to the area of Hurley Street and Sciarappa Street last night at approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers with the Cambridge Police searched the area and quickly located and recovered shell casings on the ground outside of apartments on the 100th block of Sciarappa Street. Three motor vehicles that were parked on Sciarappa Street were also damaged as a result of the gunshots. There are currently no reported injuries or victims.
Nearby residents reported possibly observing a newer model motor vehicle leaving the area towards the CambridgeSide Galleria at a high rate of speed after the gunshots were fired.
Anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300. An increased police presence will be maintained in the area as the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
