The manager of a CambridgeSide Place business reported that a male entered the store and shoplifted a number of clothing items. The suspect concealed these items in a shopping bag he was carrying and exited the store without paying for the merchandise.

A Cambridge resident reported that a package was stolen from the front porch of his Concord Avenue home.

Cambridge Police responded to a CambridgeSide Place business on the report of a shoplifter being detained. Loss Prevention employees observed a male (via surveillance camera) conceal several items of clothing in a bag and leave the store without paying for the merchandise. When officers stopped the male (later identified as Daniel Nazario, 24, homeless), additional stolen merchandise was discovered inside of his bags.  Nazario was placed under arrest and charged with: Larceny Over $250, Trespassing and Possession of Class E Drugs.

A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Mason Street near Brattle Street. The pedestrian was sent transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers responded to a report that a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. The driver fled the scene without making themselves known, and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect later made himself known after Newton Police showed up at his residence.
