REPORT TYPE	WESTERN AVE Cambridge Police responded to Western Avenue after a Shot Spotter activation and multiple 911 calls from that area indicated multiple gunshots. After a search of the area, no shell casings or bullets were recovered, and there was no damage to any surrounding motor vehicles or buildings.

08/19/2017 14:27 ARREST 17005839 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	CAMBRIDGE ST Debra Parzych, 50, 240 Albany Street, was arrested on Cambridge Street on a warrant out of Chelsea District Court for Assault and battery.

The reporting person’s motor vehicle suffered significant damages due to the motor vehicle crash.
08/19/2017 15:44 ARREST 17005841 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	PALMER ST Cambridge Police responded to a shoplifter in custody. Andrew Couto, 31, 70 Adamson Street, Allston, was placed under arrest after it was discovered he had a warrant out of New Bedford District Court for possession of a Class B drug.

Nicholas Smith, 31, 12 Vernon Street, Plymouth, was arrested for Unarmed Assault to Rob, after being positively identified. The victim stated Smith grabbed him from the front, placed him in a head lock, and demanded money from him.

08/18/2017 12:18 INCIDENT 17005808 DRUG, POSSESS TO DISTRIB CLASS C c94C S32B	MASSACHUSETTS AVE The Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Carl Diggs, 29, 122 Charles River Road, Watertown, and charged him with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class C Drug. He was observed engaging in a suspected drug transaction and upon being stopped, he was found to be in possession of approximately 33 Xanax pills.

08/18/2017 13:33 INCIDENT 17005810 UNLAWFUL DEACTIVATION OR REMOVAL OF THEFT DETECTIO	MASSACHUSETTS AVE Officers were dispatched for a shoplifting in progress in Central Square. The suspect was apprehended shortly after. Officers were notified that the suspect had a warrant for Unarmed Robbery. He was in possession of the stolen merchandise. Richard Lee Payne, 42, 170 Morton Street, Jamaica Plain, arrested for the warrant and charged with the Shoplifting.

08/18/2017 17:37 INCIDENT 17005818 B&E DAYTIME FOR FELONY c266 S18	MASSACHUSETTS AVE A Massachusetts Avenue resident reported an attempted break-in to her residence, A suspect had managed to open her front door slightly and damage the interior lock. No entry was gained.
08/18/2017 17:56 INCIDENT 17005819 LARCENY UNDER $250 BY SINGLE SCHEME c266 S30	MASSACHUSETTS AVE Cambridge Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue to document a larceny by scheme report. The reporting person stated she was scammed out of $100 by an unknown suspect who performed a card trick, then abruptly walked away with the reporting person’s money.

08/18/2017 22:48 INCIDENT 17005828 LARCENY FROM BUILDING c266 S20	BROOKLINE ST Cambridge Police Officers responded to Brookline Street for a report a two bicycles stolen from the hallway of the owner’s apartment building.
08/18/2017 23:34 INCIDENT 17005829 LICENSE SUSPENDED, OP MV WITH c90 S23	AMES ST Cambridge Police Detectives observed a gray 2007 Saturn traveling on Broadway near Ames Street go in and out of the marked lanes. This vehicle was observed to be traveling partially in the marked bicycle lane. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. The operator, Wendell Nunes, 34, 38 Westwind Road, Dorchester, was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Hingham District Court, for operating after license suspension, and for a marked lanes violation.
