A Cambridge resident called to report that her motor vehicle was broken into sometime over night. The passenger side window was smashed, but there does not appear to be anything missing at this time.

DRUG, POSSESS TO DISTRIB CLASS B c94C S32A

COLUMBIA ST

The Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Miguel Angel Esteves, 40, homeless, and Amy Pelletier, 110 James Street, Attleboro, MA, inside a local park as a result of a drug investigation. The investigation revealed several pipes on scene in addition to the recovery of multiple bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine, some in preparation for sale. Pelletier was charged with Possession of a Class B Drug, and Esteves was charged with Possession of a Class B Drug, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drug, and Drug Violation near School/Park.

Tommy NG, 53, 449 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, was arrested for receiving stolen property. He was in possession of a stolen bike on Cambridge Street.

Officers were dispatched to Massachusetts Avenue for a female passing a false check. As a result of the investigation, Charion Bradley, 26, 5 Cleaves Street in Boston, was placed under arrest for uttering a false check.

Ross Smith, 29, 86 Laffayete Street, was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery on a Police Officer at a local hospital. While in the emergency room, Smith lunged at officers, causing a struggle. During the struggle, Smith struck an officer in the face, hitting him in the mouth and nose area, with a closed fist causing injury to the officer.

Officers arrested and charged Justin Switzer, 47, 84 Canal Street, Medford, with Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon. Switzer was witnessed by a large group of people push a man onto the ground and kick him in the head.
