The Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Miguel Angel
Esteves, 40, homeless, and Amy Pelletier, 110 James Street, Attleboro, MA,
inside a local park as a result of a drug investigation. The investigation
revealed several pipes on scene in addition to the recovery of multiple bags
of what appeared to be crack cocaine, some in preparation for sale. Pelletier
was charged with Possession of a Class B Drug, and Esteves was charged with
Possession of a Class B Drug, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B
Drug, and Drug Violation near School/Park.

Ross Smith, 29, 86 Laffayete Street, was placed under arrest for Assault and
Battery on a Police Officer at a local hospital. While in the emergency room,
Smith lunged at officers, causing a struggle. During the struggle, Smith
struck an officer in the face, hitting him in the mouth and nose area, with a
closed fist causing injury to the officer.
