Barthesday DeBerry, 39, of 17 Court Street, Boston, was placed under arrest for larceny over $250 and shoplifting after being found with $465 worth of stolen product from two stores in Central Square. He then resisted arrest and lead police on a short foot pursuit down Prospect Street where he was eventually apprehended.

Police responded to Cambridge Street for a suspicious person. The person was observed emerging from the rear of an apartment complex and his story kept changing. Moments later, his friend, who was identified as Gerard Moore-Khan, 29, of 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, arrived and said he was visiting a friend in the building. Moore was arrested due to a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Larceny over $250 and Breaking and Entering Nighttime Felony.
