Cambridge Police responded to a larceny report call at a Brookline Street residence. The reporting party stated that they had mailed a rent check to their landlord on 11/1/17 for $1,600. The landlord claimed to never have received the check. The reporting party sent another check to the landlord, but then discovered today that the first check had been cashed. The reporting party believes the check was deposited by an unknown party.

Cambridge Police officers responded to a Central Square establishment for a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention personnel. Loss Prevention informed the police officers that the individual was observed placing numerous items into a backpack, then walk past all points of purchase before being stopped at the front entrance. The individual was later identified as Adam Scott, 29, 1 Johnson Street in Woburn, was very uncooperative and was subsequently placed under arrest.

The vehicle was towed to a nearby tow yard and the owner was issued a citation for allowing a motor vehicle with a revoked registration to remain on a public way.
