Cambridge Police responded to a disturbance in the rear of a Massachusetts
Ave address. Todd Martin, 51, of 20 Pleasant View Avenue, Everett was placed
under arrest for one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to
wit shod foot and one count of assault and battery. One victim stated that
Martin kicked him in the head and another victim stated Martin punched him in
the face.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to a Central Square establishment for a
Shoplifting in Progress call. The suspect had fled the establishment with at
least two pieces of retail merchandise. After a description of the fleeing
suspect was provided to the responding officers, a suspect was located across
the street and later identified as Lionel Brathwaite, 51, homeless out of
Boston. Brathwaite admitted to stealing several items from the establishment
and had the merchandise in his possession. Additionally, the assistant
manager from the establishment informed officers that he observed Brathwaite
take possession of the items and leave the establishment without making any
attempt to pay for the goods. It was also discovered that Brathwaite is a Level
3 Sex Offender and his Sex Offender Registry Status was listed as "IN
VIOLATION". Based on the facts and circumstances of this incident, Brathwaite
will be charged with Shoplifting by Asportation and Fail to Register – Sex
Offender.

Adelaide Teixeira, 49, of 9 Plant Court, Jamaica Plain was arrested for two
counts of Larceny Over $250 and Unlawful Deactivation or Removal of Theft
Detection Device after she was apprehended by loss prevention with $323.90
worth of stolen merchandise after being observed leaving the store with merchandise
she carried out from the changing room area. She was also found with
$1,399.82 worth of stolen merchandise from another store. All recovered
merchandise was found to have the theft detection devices removed and two
wire cutters were found in her possession.

distribution of crack cocaine when she was observed in a hand to hand
transaction with Landers Ivey, 58, of 28 York Street, Dorchester in a parking
lot on Monsignor O'Brien Hwy. Landers was also arrested and charged with
possession of crack cocaine after detectives recovered evidence on his person
after the transaction.

A Cambridge resident was summonsed for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a
Suspended License. He was observed operating a motor vehicle which passed
through a steady red light at the intersection of Third Street and Cambridge
Street, public ways in the City of Cambridge. A motor vehicle stop was
conducted and revealed the operator had a suspended license. The operator was
cited for the moving violation as well.
