Kyle Silva, 22, a homeless male out of Providence, RI was arrested and charged with Refusal to Identify after police attempted to stop him for multiple bicycle infractions in Harvard Square. Silva was observed by a Cambridge Officer run a red light on his bicycle while nearly hitting multiple pedestrians who were crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. When the officer, who was in a full police uniform attempted to stop Silva, Silva attempted to swerve around the police officer, crashing into him and sending both himself and the officer to the pavement.

A person was observed shoplifting at a department store on Cambridgeside Place. A Loss Prevention Officer stopped the suspect after he left the store, past all points of sale with multiple clothing items. The suspect, a resident of Boston, had shoplifted $476 worth of merchandise. A criminal complaint was sought.

Cambridge Police observed a motor vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Dover Street. Officers stopped the motor vehicle and learned that the operator Fernando Perez, 37, of 1223 Putuckuette Boulevard, Lowell, MA had an active warrant out of Lowell District Court for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Marked Lanes Violation. Mr. Perez was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant.
