A female resident of Brookline was riding her bicycle on Vassar Street when the male driver of a white van turned right onto Mass. Ave. without yielding, which caused the two of them to collide. The female bicyclist suffered minor leg injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

CPD responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Prospect Street for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the operator of vehicle #1 and the pedestrian. Pro EMS responded due to the fact that the pedestrian’s left foot was run over by vehicle #1. She wanted to deny medical, but was evaluated and signed a medical refusal for Pro EMS.

Cambridge Police responded to an establishment on Massachusetts Avenue for a larceny report. Upon arrival, an employee of the establishment reported that at approximately 2:30 p.m. today, a female suspect stole a set of keys belonging to the reporting party. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras inside the establishment.

Cambridge Police were dispatched for a reported robbery in progress involving a suspect armed with a firearm. A subsequent investigation revealed that the incident consisted of a simple larceny situation and that the "911" caller had purposefully exaggerated the story, claiming that the suspect had been armed with a firearm in order to hasten the police response. As a result of this malicious conduct, a Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for filing a False Report to Public Safety Dispatch.
