Paul Ullman, 49, 205 Green Street in Cambridge, was arrested in front of Mass Ave. for Malicious Damage of Property. Ullman was observed by an employee of a business at a different location on Mass Ave. ripping two landscape lights out of the ground. When he was confronted by the employee, he walked away and the employee followed him where he was eventually stopped by MIT Police Officers.

Cambridge Police responded to White Street on a report of a disturbance between two vendors. During an altercation, a display stand was knocked over. Upon arrival the suspect vendor had left the area.

THORNDIKE ST
Matthew Harris, 42, 7 Craigie Street in Somerville, was arrested at an apartment building on Thorndike Street for trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of a class B drug and a warrant issued out of Boston District Court on 12/16/16 for destruction of property over $1,200. Officers responded to the building for a report of a suspect knocking on doors on the third floor and that he did not live in the building. Upon making contact with Harris, it was discovered that he did not live in the building. Upon trying to investigate the bag in his possession, he resisted efforts and was subsequently subdued. After a brief struggle he was placed in handcuffs. A subsequent inventory search of his belonging revealed he was in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

A Boston resident was involved in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Mass Ave and Ellery Streets. The crash involved a bicyclist who was traveling on Mass Ave. The bicyclist collided with the reporting party’s vehicle.

A vehicle went around another vehicle startling the driver. Out of frustration, the driver honked her horn. Three parties then exited the vehicle yelling and screaming. One of the parties stuck his head inside her driver’s window and called her some unsavory names.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police units responded to the area of 600 Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a fight. Further investigation revealed that two females were involved in a physical altercation with one involved party sustaining minor injuries to her face and hands. A witness informed officers that she observed one of the involved females strike the other female over the head with a glass bottle, which was found shattered on the sidewalk in the area of the altercation. The witness then pointed out the suspect to officers on scene. The victim, who did not appear to have any injuries to her head, initially stated that she was unable to identify the suspect who assaulted her or provide a description. After several minutes, the victim observed the suspect being attended to by paramedics and immediately identified the suspect as the offender. The suspect was identified and will be summonsed for one count of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
