LARCENY OVER $250 c266 S30

ERIE ST

John Coughlin, 59, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, and August Linzel,  60, of 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, were placed under arrest for Larceny Over $250 after they removed approximately $2000 worth of copper piping and fittings along with $2400 worth of power tools from a construction site on Erie Street. Linzel and August were found in possession of a portion of the copper after being observed by an officer as they pushed a cart full of piping and fittings down Norfolk Street. Further investigation outside of the location of the theft revealed a stash spot for a portion of the remaining stolen items which were within close proximity of a temporary hideout where personal information identifying Coughlin was found.

Kenyatta Harris-Little, 27, of 25 Market Street, Cambridge, was placed under arrest after she shoplifted from a department store in Central Square. Harris-Little was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer when she attempted to leave the store with numerous cosmetic items that she failed to pay for, totaling $134.42. Through further investigation it was discovered that Harris-Little had a warrant out of Quincy District Court for Shoplifting by Asportation.

Cambridge and Malden Police Detectives took Richard Valenti, 28, of 14 Lewis Street, Lynn, into custody at the Rockingham County Jail in New Hampshire. Valenti had two warrants for his arrest, out of Cambridge District Court for Armed Robbery, and Malden District Court for Armed Robbery.

Cambridge Police responded to a Bishop Allen Drive address for an attempted larceny report. A construction firm based in Cambridge reported that their Accounting Department received an email this morning from an individual using the same email address as the company's founder. According to the email, the sender, posing as the founder of the company, requested a check be written for the amount of $8,450 and mailed out to an address in California. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the company's founder did not make this request. The transaction was never fully completed.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report an on-going problem with a neighbor. She claims that every person that sets foot on her property is challenged by the neighbor who believes there is some sort of illegal living arrangement going on. He threatens to make a "citizen's arrest" on any illegal occupants. Last night she reports that her son returned home from college and was given the third degree by the neighbor.

Cambridge Police and medical units were dispatched to Huron Avenue and Royal Avenue on a motor vehicle crash. The operator of one motor vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

PROSPECT ST

Cambridge Police were conducting traffic enforcement on Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. A motor vehicle was observed taking an illegal left turn from Massachusetts Avenue onto Prospect Street, despite street signs and pavement markings which indicate that left turns at said intersection are prohibited. It was discovered that the operator of the motor vehicle had a suspended Massachusetts driver's license. As a result, a resident of Everett was summonsed to court for Operating MV With Suspended License and Improper Turn.
