Patrick Fitzgerald, 31, of 42 Saunders Street, Allston, was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Class A Drugs. Fitzgerald was charged after officers observed him sleeping at the wheel of his motor vehicle surrounded by drug paraphernalia. When Fitzgerald was asked to step out of his motor vehicle, he was searched, and officers found heroin.

He was given numerous chances to calm down and go to the shelter but he refused and continued his rant towards officers and passersby causing them to be alarmed and to walk away from Mr. Allwood.

Cambridge Police arrested Herman Blanco, 42, of 85 Medford Street, Charlestown, for Wanton Destruction of Property, Attempt to Commit a Crime, Possession of Burglarious Instruments, and Breaking Into a Depository. Blanco was observed by security at a business on First Street pulling back the fence to the bicycle storage facility. As the security guards attempted to question Blanco, he canted his body and attempted to conceal a set of heavy-duty bolt cutters. Security detained Blanco and waited for Cambridge Police to arrive.

Cambridge Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Charles Street at First Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an operator involved in the crash, Sarah Wheeler, 32, homeless of Swanzey, NH. Officers observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, and glassy eyes. Wheeler also failed to complete Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Wheeler was placed under arrest for operating under the influence. In the booking room at the Cambridge Police Station, Wheeler kicked an officer while wearing boots, and grabbed him by the groin. She also bit a second officer during the booking process.

Roberto Perinho 39, of 20 Cross Street, Somerville, was arrested for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon that occurred on Monsignor O'Brien Highway. The victim stated that Perinho pulled a knife with a blue handle and placed it close to her face three separate times and threatened to cut her. The incident placed her in fear. Perinho was questioned and searched and a folding knife with a blue handle was found in his possession. Perhinho was subsequently placed under arrest.
