Richard Payne, 43, of 150 Erie Street, Cambridge, was arrested for shoplifting from an art store on Massachusetts Avenue after he was observed concealing merchandise and walking past all points of sale and out of the store.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report that, on Saturday, someone attempted to enter his apartment with a key. He banged on the door and two men fled.

PEARL ST

Members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Ricky White, 60, of 14 Chapel Street, Somerville, and charged him with Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance, and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act. Also arrested and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substances Act was Kevin Johnson, 66, of 89 Bethany Road, Framingham. Detectives on surveillance observed what they believed to be a street level drug transaction. Upon being stopped, Johnson was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. White was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, U.S. currency and other implements utilized in the distribution of drugs.

A Medford resident came to the police station to report that unknown person(s) had gained access to his account in an unknown manner and withdrew $1000.

Cambridge Police were flagged down in Central Square in regards to a shoplifting that had just occurred from a drug store. A Loss Prevention employee followed the suspect outside of the store and pointed him out to a Cambridge Police Officer, who stopped the suspect. Loss Prevention employees informed police that the suspect concealed three hygiene products ($15.37 total value) in a tote bag that he was carrying. When Loss Prevention confronted the suspect, he refused to return all of the merchandise. The suspect then pushed the Loss Prevention employee and threatened to spit on him before he fled the store. Loss Prevention employees stated that this suspect has stolen from the store on numerous occasions in the past and that he is always uncooperative. Colby Scott, 58, Homeless, was placed under arrest for Unarmed Robbery for concealing merchandise in his bag and then assaulting the Loss Prevention employee who attempted to stop him.

Cambridge Police responded to a Brookline Street residence in regards to a larceny report. A Cambridge resident recently had over $38,000 fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account.

Bryna Harris, 48, of 7 Frawley Street, Boston, was taken into custody for Trespassing and Defraud Restaurant Under $100, after she returned to the same establishment where she had fled on 06/14/18, after receiving goods and services without paying and was advised by the manager not to return or be subject to arrest by the police.
