INCIDENT 18004290
MISC. REPORT TYPE
|
BROADWAY
As officers were driving by a park on Broadway at Dickinson Street, they heard what sounded like someone dragging a large chain down Dickinson Street. Officers investigated and noticed a woman on the sidewalk in front of the park on Broadway. As officers drove by, it appeared that something fell out of the backpack and she was trying to place it back in the backpack. After attempting to assist the woman, the head lights on the patrol car lit up the backpack and officers saw a large pile of spare change. The woman was seen emptying the backpack with both hands onto the sidewalk. At this point, the woman looked at officers and started to run. Officers stopped the woman to ask her what was going on and she squared off and appeared she wanted to fight. The woman stated the bag and money was not hers and she said, "I just want to leave."
