Cambridge Police observed a Nissan Sentra being operated by a resident of Cambridge on Main Street near Bishop Allen Drive with a safety rejection sticker. During a stop, it was discovered that the driver has a revoked license and was unable to locate a registration. She was charged with No Inspection Sticker, Operating After Revocation of License and No Registration in Possession.

Cambridge Police responded to Rice Street for reports of an unwanted person. After speaking with a named and identified witness, Daniel Burbridge, 44, 14 Meetinghouse Hill Road in Brookline, NH, was placed under arrest after it was determined he had forced entry into his neighbor’s apartment causing significant damage to the apartment front door. In addition, Burbridge made spontaneous utterances prior to any police investigation in regards to forcing entry into his neighbor’s apartment by breaking down the door so that he could confront him about an ongoing argument. Burbridge was charged with Breaking and Entering in the Daytime for Felony and Malicious Destruction of Property -$1,200.

An unknown person placed a small black bag on top of a Cambridge Police cruiser that was parked at Massachusetts Avenue. The Cambridge Police Explosive Ordnance Unit responded and cleared the bag.

ESSEX ST
Members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Michael Reardon, 32, 10 Lancaster Street in Cambridge, Shaun O’Connor, 33, 129 Bedford Street in Burlington, and Ginelle Thompson, 29, 129 Bedford Street in Burlington, as a result of a drug investigation. Detectives observed Reardon, O’Connor and Thompson engage in behavior consistent with a street level drug transaction. A stop on O’Connor resulted in the recovery of a clear plastic bag containing a white powdered substance consistent with cocaine. A stop on Reardon led to the recovery of the U.S. Currency provided by O’Connor. Reardon was charged with Distribution of a Class B Drug and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. O’Connor was charged with Possession of a Class B Drug, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws and three warrants out of Somerville District Court, Lawrence District Court and Brookline District Court. Thompson was charged with Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Western Avenue and Magazine Street on reports of an assault in progress. One female had reportedly punched another female following a disagreement with a third woman. Upon arrival, Officers learned that two of the involved parties had already fled the area. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate these individuals. A report was taken from the victim, who was uninjured.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Henry Street for a male party causing a disturbance. Units stopped a male party matching the description. Colby Scott, 58, homeless, was placed under arrest for a warrant issued out of Somerville District Court for Larceny Under $1,200 by Single Scheme.

COLUMBIA ST
Cambridge Police responded to a call for a 911 hang up. Dispatch informed officers that the caller sounded panicked and was requesting police assistance at Lafayette Square and then Clement Morgan Park. Officers then responded to the Pine Street side of Clement Morgan Park and noticed a young black male with a moped/scooter-type vehicle in the park. Officers walked towards the vehicle, at which point, the operator made eye contact with officers, looked away, got on the vehicle, and began to operate in a direction away from officers. He headed in the direction of Columbia Street. Additional officers responded to the area and stopped the vehicle on Washington Street at Columbia. After speaking to officers on scene and officers locating a small baggie with a hard white rock-like substance (later determined to be crack cocaine), the male fled on foot in an attempt to escape officers. He was taken into custody on Boardman Street. Selvin Chambers, 25, 2 Cameron Avenue in Cambridge, was charged with the following offenses: Possession Class B Drug, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, Moped Violation, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.

Cambridge Police responded to Church Street for a report of a known person standing on the sidewalk threatening people with a knife. A search of the area was conducted, but the suspect was not located. There were no injuries.
