Ibrahim Olanrewaju, 28, 240 Albany Street, was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest. Olanrewaju was charged after attacking another male in Central Square and sending him to the hospital. When officers attempted to stop Olanrewaju, he attacked the officers and tried to run.

A resident of Cambridge reported that their silver Specialized bicycle was stolen from their Granville Road residence between 9:00 p.m. July 22 and 4:00 p.m. July 23. The bicycle has a wire metal basket on the handlebars and a metal rack in the rear.

A resident of Cambridge reported that their bicycle was stolen from their Putnam Avenue residence between 3:00 p.m. July 21 and 9:00 a.m. July 23. The bicycle is a dark blue Bianchi Courtina with gold lettering on the side, dark brown handle bars and seat, and two black saddle bags hanging from the rear. The front tire remained locked to the bicycle rack and was not stolen.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a North Cambridge gas station on a reported larceny in progress. It was determined that a motorist had come in and asked the attendant for twenty dollars in gas. After a dispute over the method of payment, the motorist left the scene without paying.

At 10:28 p.m., officers responded to a Massachusetts Avenue business for an armed robbery in progress. The suspect did not get away with any money but fled with a car jack. The suspect is a white male, 21 years of age, 5’6”, and wearing a black hoodie.
