A resident of Watertown was summonsed to court for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class D Drug, Operating a Motor Vehicle with License Revoked, and Harsh/Objectionable Noise. Officers assigned to the Area Four Gun Violence Task Force observed the defendant driving a moped that was creating excessive noise in Central Square. After stopping the defendant, officers discovered that his license had been revoked and found nearly twenty-five grams of marijuana in his backpack individually packaged and labelled.

A resident of Lynn unlocked their vehicle to enter it, at which point an unknown male suspect made it into the passenger side of the vehicle. The victim’s friend who was also in the garage honked their horn and scared the suspect off. He fled with the victim’s wallet.

Desmarteau had additional warrants out for his arrest from Barnstable District Court (Larceny From Building, Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1200, Breaking and Entering Nighttime for Felony, Vandalizing Property) and Holyoke District Court (Assault and Battery, Strangulation or Suffocation).

A resident of Oxford Avenue reported their bicycle stolen from the hallway outside their apartment door. The building has secured entrances and can only be accessed by residents or guests. The bicycle was stolen between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and is described as a black Ghost Hybrid bicycle with a white seat, straight handlebars, and the word “Ghost” in white lettering across the frame.

Two males were observed shoplifting from multiple businesses on Cambridgeside Place. William Baire, 30, 18 Chafter Street, Dorchester, was placed under arrest for Possession of a Class B Drug after suspected crack cocaine was found on his person. Brian Belanger, 39, 513 Washington Street 2, Dorchester, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise. Belanger also had two warrants for his arrest in Massachusetts and one out of New Hampshire. He was additionally charged with Fugitive From Justice on Court Warrant.

Officers assigned to the Area Four Gun Violence Task Force observed an individual engaged in activity consistent with drug usage on Pearl Street. When officers stopped this individual, they discovered that he had a warrant out of Boston District Court for Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. Brandon Berry, 32, 39 Boylston Street, Boston, was also charged with Possession of a Class B Drug after a search of his person revealed six grams of suspected crack cocaine.

A resident of Somerville was jogging on Massachusetts Avenue when a small dog jumped up on them and tore their shirt. The woman holding the dog’s leash was initially apologetic, offering to pay for the shirt. After speaking to her female friend in Portuguese, she then denied that her dog ever jumped on the jogger. The dog proceeded to try to jump on some small children nearby, scaring them. The two women were joined by two men from a nearby building and the group left in a vehicle.

There was a small scuffle for the victim’s phone and the suspect ultimately fled with the victim’s debit card and driver’s license.

The suspect left a pair of sunglasses in the vehicle, which were submitted into evidence.

Frank Cruthird, 52, 391 Salem Street, Rockland, was placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation after walking out of a Cambridgeside Place business in jeans and a watch he had not paid for. He was additionally charged with Obstruction of Justice for repeatedly providing false names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers while officers were attempting to identify him. Once an accurate identification was made, it was discovered that Cruthird had outstanding warrants from Brockton and Taunton District Courts for Breaking and Entering Building Nighttime for Felony, Larceny Over $1200, and Larceny From Building.

The owner of the vehicle stated that the doors had been left unlocked prior to the incident.
