Officers responded to the area of
Putnam Avenue and Western Avenue for a motor vehicle crash with
non-life-threatening injury to a cyclist. The cyclist was cited for traveling
down the wrong way of Western Avenue and for failure to have a light on their
bicycle.

restaurant. The victim observed an unknown suspect remove the wallet from the
bar and run out of the building.

reported their apartment was broken into between approximately 2:00 and 3:30
a.m. A purse containing cash, credit and debit cards, IDs, and a passport was
taken. Some of the credit and debit cards have been used in stores in the
area.

A resident of Cambridge reported a man exposing himself to passersby from a
second floor window of a Sixth Street residence. The reporting party was
concerned due to the proximity to a park where children often play, although
no children were present during the incident.

Officers responded to Cambridge Street for a hit and run to a parked vehicle
that occurred between approximately 1:50 and 2:55 p.m. The driver’s side
mirror was broken off of the vehicle. Another vehicle two parking spots down
appeared to have been sideswiped as well, but it is unknown if this was a
related incident.

Officers responded to Somerville Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving
four cars. Two of the drivers were transported to the hospital via ambulance
for non-life-threatening injuries. A citation was issued to one driver for
failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

A resident of Putnam Avenue reported a larceny of a blue Raleigh M60 mountain
bicycle with two green saddlebags attached. The bicycle was stolen from the
owner’s backyard sometime between August 6 and 5:00 p.m. August 8.

During a motor vehicle stop, Jailson Barros, 19, 21 Adams Street, Boston, was
placed under arrest for receiving stolen property. Barros had been operating
a moped and was unable to provide a valid license or registration when
stopped. Officers checked the VIN number on the moped and discovered that it
had been reported stolen out of Boston.

Officers responded to a Massachusetts Avenue restaurant for a disturbance.
Anthony Mottola, 35, 52 Brigantine Circle, Plymouth, was placed under arrest
for Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Defrauding a Restaurant.
