Officers responded to JFK Street for a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. Between 8:15 and 9:15 a.m., an unknown suspect broke the window of the reporting party’s vehicle and stole an iPad, sunglasses, and a heart monitor.

A Boston resident reported being the victim of a hit and run crash at approximately 10:45 a.m. on September 17. The reporting party stated that he had stopped at a crosswalk to allow a pedestrian to cross when he was rear-ended by the vehicle behind him. The operator of the suspect vehicle refused to provide his information. The reporting party was able to take a photo of the suspect vehicle’s license plate.

A Cambridge business owner reported receiving continuous annoying phone calls from an individual located out of state trying to collect a debt. The reporting party does not owe the suspect money. The suspect has persisted in calling despite receiving cease and desist letters from the reporting party’s attorneys.

A resident of Cambridge reported that his teenage son was the victim of a hit and run crash. The victim, who was riding a bicycle on Garden Street, was struck by a vehicle making an abrupt right turn in front of him. The victim sustained minor scrapes and was examined by a school nurse.

An employee of a Cambridgeside Place business reported a shoplifting. A black female with gray hair, approximately 45-55, was observed concealing men’s shirts in two large bags she was carrying. When the reporting party confronted her, the suspect fled the store, throwing stolen shirts and threatening to punch the reporting party if she came any closer.
