Jaavon Rodriguez, 24, homeless, was placed under arrest for Assault and
Battery on a Person Over 60, Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon,
Malicious Destruction of Property Over $1200, and Armed Assault to Murder.
Rodriguez instigated a disturbance in which he punched a bystander with a
closed fist, pushed a person over the age of 60 to the ground, and kicked this
victim while on the ground. Rodriguez was restrained by several witnesses,
one of whom observed him reach into his pocket and pull out a folding knife.
This knife was taken away and secured by the witness, who turned it over to
officers after their arrival.

Cambridge Street. The reporting party turned into a parking lot to exchange
paperwork with the other driver. The other driver followed the reporting
party, began yelling at her and acting aggressively, and then drove away. The
reporting party’s vehicle sustained noticeable damage, but there were no
injuries.

was stolen from under the back steps of a Columbia Street residence sometime
between September 21 and 12:00 p.m. on September 22. The bicycle is described
as a maroon Masi model with straight yellow handlebars.

Officers responded to the area of Raymond Street and Sheridan Street for a
report of a motor vehicle idling for a substantial amount of time. A tow
truck arrived and the operator was able to turn off the vehicle and lock the
doors. Because the vehicle was legally parked and locked with the engine off,
it was not towed. A citation was mailed to the vehicle owner.

suspect stole cash from a homeless individual who was panhandling and then
led the victim on a foot chase. The chase ended when the suspect dropped the
money, which was recovered by the victim.

larceny of a motor vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was taken from Clifton
Street between approximately 3:30 and 8:00 p.m. The contents of the vehicle
included the victim’s wallet, driver’s license, credit cards, medical cards,
general paperwork, and vehicle paperwork.
