At approximately 12:46 a.m., officers responded to the area of Warren Street for a report of a single possible gunshot in the vicinity. Units did not locate any evidence of gunshots or anything else out of the ordinary.

Officers responded for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon. A bicyclist reported that, after a verbal dispute with the driver of a nearby vehicle, the driver drove towards her in a threatening manner. The victim was not injured.

A resident of Carver Street reported a bicycle stolen from his backyard. The bicycle, which is described as a black Trek 4500 mountain bike, was stolen around 3:00 a.m. on September 21.

Officers responded for a hit and run crash that occurred on Broadway near Prescott Street. The victim was stopped at a crosswalk to allow pedestrians to cross the street when her vehicle was struck from behind by the suspect vehicle. The suspect drove away without attempting to exchange paperwork. The victim did not require medical attention.

A Cambridge resident reported his son’s bicycle stolen from a bike rack at the Alewife MBTA station. The blue Specialized Rockhopper bicycle was locked to the rack with a cable lock, which was cut and left on the ground. It was taken between 9:00 p.m. on September 23 and 9:00 a.m. on September 24.

Officers responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Prospect Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian had been walking between vehicles in the street before being struck by the mirror of a truck. The driver of the truck remained on scene and assisted bystanders rendering aid to the injured pedestrian, who was transported to the hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded to Verdun Street for a report of a bicycle stolen from the garage of a residence. A red and gray Fuji bicycle was stolen while unlocked in a garage between approximately 5:00 p.m. on September 16 and 2:00 p.m. on September 24.

Loss prevention officers at a Central Square business reported that an unknown male suspect entered the store, stole a pair of headphones, and assaulted an officer who attempted to stop him. The officer was struck in the side of the head and did not require medical attention.

Officers responded for a report of a fight at the intersection of Brattle Street and Hawthorne Street. The altercation began after one individual littered and another person confronted her about this behavior. A physical scuffle occurred, but no injuries were reported.

Officers responded to a Massachusetts Avenue restaurant in regards to a malicious destruction report. An employee discovered that the front door of the business had been boarded up with plywood between 4:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The original glass door was shattered.

Officers responded to a Norfolk Street residence for a report of a breaking and entering that occurred between approximately 1:00 p.m. on September 23 and 5:30 p.m. on September 24. The resident’s window had been left open while she was out of town, and the screen was cut open by an unknown suspect who used it to gain access to the residence. Nothing appears to be missing from the home except for the resident’s cat, which could have escaped the building through the open window.

Officers responded for a report of a crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist that occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. While attempting to maneuver around a vehicle that was stopped in the bicycle lane, the cyclist was struck by the door of the vehicle. The cyclist received treatment for shoulder pain.

Omar Hall, 39, homeless, was placed under arrest on a warrant out of Cambridge District Court for Assault With a Dangerous Weapon.
