Units responded to the report of an assault in progress. Responding officers observed a David Johnson, 40, 39 Boylston Street in Boston, attempting to leave the scene and discard a handgun in front of a bank located at Massachusetts Avenue. Officers interviewed the victim, who stated he was robbed at gun point and identified Johnson as the assailant. Johnson was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery. The handgun was determined to be a BB gun, which was recovered and taken into evidence.

Cambridge Police, Fire and medical assets were dispatched to the area of Massachusetts for a report that a bicyclist had sustained injuries as a result of being struck by an opening car door. The victim was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The passenger of the vehicle, responsible for unsafely opening the vehicle door that struck the bicyclist, was issued a citation for the offense.

John Benbow, 60, 112 South Hampton Street in Boston, was placed under arrest for two warrants (Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise and Shoplifting by Asportation out of Boston District Court and Somerville District Court, respectively) and shoplifting. He was observed inside a store selecting two smart watches, concealing them into a bag he carried, then exiting the store making no attempt to pay for either watch. Each watch is valued at $95. Benbow was detained in the loss prevention office.

Cambridge police responded to a department store at Alewife Brook Parkway for a report of a shoplifting in progress. When officers arrived, Loss Prevention agents had Kelly Carey, 31, 933 Quincy Shore Drive in Quincy, and Jason Ferguson, 34, 39 Boylston Street in Boston, detained and all property had been recovered. Both Carey and Ferguson were found to have warrants for their arrest. They were taken into custody and transported to CPD HQ to be booked.
