Officers responded to a Harvard Square bar for a report of a larceny. A male suspect was observed taking a $50 bottle of rum from behind the bar and fleeing the premises with it.

BROADWAY

Michael Lee Jr., 36, 19 Waban Street in Saugus, was placed under arrest for Vandalism after a witness observed him smash the windows on a construction vehicle. A nearby lock on a gate at the construction site was also burned off with a torch.

A bicyclist was involved in a crash with two motor vehicles on Cambridge Street. All parties remained on scene and were cooperative. The cyclist was evaluated at the scene by ambulance personnel and did not require further treatment.

FRESH POND PARKWAY

A resident of Fresh Pond Parkway reported a breaking and entering to her motor vehicle that occurred while it was parked in her driveway between 12:00 and 5:00 a.m. on October 15. Loose change and a laptop were stolen from the vehicle. The laptop was later found in the reporting party’s neighbor’s yard.

Officers responded to a Massachusetts Avenue residence for a report of a larceny of two bicycles. The bicycles were taken from a Massachusetts Avenue parking garage between early/mid-September and October 3.

HURON AVENUE

A resident of Belmont reported a breaking and entering to his motor vehicle that occurred between approximately 4:10 p.m. on October 14 and October 16. An iPad and a wallet containing credit cards, a debit card, a driver’s license, and a small amount of cash were taken from the unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Huron Avenue.

Officers responded to the intersection of Fayerweather Street and Huron Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus. A vehicle proceeded forward after stopping at a stop sign and did not see the school bus due to sun glare. All parties reported no injuries.

A resident of Windsor Street reported a package theft that occurred around the date of August 14. The package contained children’s clothes and was stolen from the front steps of the reporting party’s home.

OXFORD STREET

Officers responded for a motor vehicle crash involving an individual in a wheelchair. A vehicle parked legally near the crosswalk obstructed the views of the driver and the victim, causing the vehicle to strike the victim as she utilized the crosswalk. The victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries but was transported to the hospital via ambulance as a precaution. The driver remained on scene and was cited for failure to stop for a person in a wheelchair in a crosswalk.

A resident of Buckingham Street reported that his bicycle was stolen between 3:50 and 4:30 p.m. The black Cannondale bicycle was last seen secured with a U-lock to a fence outside the reporting party’s apartment building.

A resident of Cambridge reported that her iPhone X was stolen at approximately 1:30 p.m. from a Cambridgeside Place store. The reporting party forgot her phone in a dressing room and found it was missing when she returned for it.

Officers responded to Crawford Street for a report of malicious destruction to a motor vehicle. A rock was thrown through a window of the reporting party’s vehicle between 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. Nothing has been reported missing from the vehicle.
