Officers responded to a Pilgrim Street parking garage for a reported breaking
and entering to a motor vehicle in progress. The two suspects fled before police
arrival and the reporting party was unable to see which direction they ran.
The suspects were able to gain access to the vehicle, which was a Jeep, by
unzipping the panels in the soft top. It is unknown at this time whether any
items were stolen.

A resident of Hemlock Road reported that his home security system had
captured an unknown suspect breaking into the reporting party’s two motor
vehicles, which were parked on the curb, around 8:02 p.m. on November 26.
Approximately $20 in change was stolen, and the reporting party is unsure if
anything else is missing.

Officers responded to Elm Street for a report of an unattended backpack in a
playground. The backpack was cleared by Explosive Ordnance Disposal with the
help of a K9. It was found to contain personal property and cash and was
transported to the police station for safekeeping.

Officers responded to the intersection of Cambridge and Ellery Streets for a
report of a crash involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist. The operator of
the vehicle had stopped at the crosswalk to allow a pedestrian to cross. The
cyclist, who was traveling behind the vehicle, turned his head to check for
traffic behind him and did not see that the vehicle ahead had stopped,
causing him to collide with the rear of the vehicle at a high rate of speed.
The cyclist refused transport to the hospital and stated that he would seek
treatment on his own for neck pain. The rear of the vehicle sustained minor
damage.

A resident of Dorchester reported that his laptop was stolen when he forgot
it at a bus stop around 10:15 a.m. The 15” Dell laptop was taken from the
Massachusetts Avenue and Washburn Avenue bus stop when the reporting party
went into a store for ten minutes and accidentally left the laptop outside.

suspect attempting to cash a fraudulent check. The suspect fled the bank when
the teller summoned police assistance.

Officers responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a hit
and run. The reporting party’s rental vehicle was rear-ended in traffic by a
commercial vehicle that failed to pull over and exchange information. The reporting
party denied any injuries. A minor scratch to the rental vehicle’s rear
bumper was documented, but it is unknown if the damage was causing by the crash.

Waltham District Court (Larceny Over $1200), Cambridge District Court (Utter
False Check, Larceny Over $1200 by Single Scheme), and Woburn District Court

Explosive Ordnance Disposal responded to Brattle and Hilliard Streets for a
report of an unattended bag. The bag was cleared with the assistance of a K9
and was found to contain clothing, no identification, and forty uncapped
needles. The needles were placed in a sharps container for disposal and the
bag was disposed of.

A resident of Concord Avenue reported that both his motor vehicle and his
wife’s were broken into between approximately 7:30 p.m. on November 14 and 7:00
a.m. on November 15. A garage door opener was among the items stolen from the
reporting party’s vehicle. A report was taken on November 16 of a stolen
bicycle from the parking garage where the reporting party’s vehicles were
located at the time of this incident. A suspect was arrested on November 22
while attempting to open vehicle doors in the area and was found to have the
reporting party’s garage door opener in his possession.
