Officers responded for a reported hit and run causing damage to a vehicle in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Bow Street. The owner of the damaged vehicle reported that his vehicle was struck by a suspect operator who turned into his lane and collided with his front fender. The reporting party stated that the suspect stopped to examine his own vehicle, then fled the area.

The reporting party is unsure if anything is missing at this time but stated the garage appears to have been rifled through.

Officers responded to a park for a malicious destruction of property report. Two reporting parties stated that they had observed a male suspect approach the large menorah in the park and push it over. Several light bulbs on the menorah were damaged, and it is unknown if any other damage was sustained. The suspect is described as a white male dressed all in black and riding a black bicycle.

Officers responded for a report of an armed robbery in the area of Brattle and Hawthorne Streets. The reporting party was robbed of approximately $25 in cash by two young male suspects, one of whom brandished a firearm. The reporting party stated that he initially believed the robbery was a prank and that the suspects appeared to be very nervous.

A resident of Cambridge reported a pickpocketing that occurred in the Central Square area sometime after 7:00 p.m. on November 30. The reporting party’s wallet, containing cash, identification, credit and debit cards, an AAA card, and an MBTA senior pass, was stolen from his front pocket. It was later discovered that unauthorized charges had been made to the reporting party’s debit card.

A resident of Belmont reported his bicycle stolen from outside a Brattle Street address. The bicycle, which was last seen locked up in Harvard Square, is described as a silver Jamis Ventura Racer with a red front rim and a rack.

Officers responded to a River Street address for a report of a hit and run. A witness had observed a dump truck strike a parked vehicle, causing significant damage. The operator of the dump truck then left the truck idling in a travel lane with the keys inside and fled the scene without leaving his information. The suspect operator returned to the location while officers were conducting an investigation and was summonsed to court for Leaving the Scene of an Accident After Property Damage. The driver was additionally cited for Unattended Motor Vehicle.

Jamaine Johnson, 36, 500 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester, was placed under arrest on a warrant out of Lynn for charges including Malicious Destruction of Property Under $1200, Intimidating a Witness/Juror/Police/Court Official, and Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon. Johnson was arrested after nearly striking a Cambridge Police officer with his vehicle while the officer was crossing the street at a red light. Following this incident, the officer identified Johnson and learned of the warrant for his arrest.

Amanda Burnett, 27, 234 Low Street in Newburyport, was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Class A Drug.

When the reporting party returned to his vehicle at approximately 10:05 p.m., he observed his vehicle to be covered in hot sauce and eggs.
