Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Tenney Street and Orchard Street, both public ways in Cambridge, after a random CJIS query check on a vehicle in traffic revealed that the registration was suspended and the inspection sticker was expired. The driver was issued a summons.

Cambridge Police along with Cambridge Fire EMS responded to in front of 1106 Cambridge for a motor vehicle accident. On location, it was discovered that an elderly driver appeared to have suffered an unknown medical episode which caused him to crash into a parked trailer truck. Operator was subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical evaluation.

A Traffic Parking Enforcement Officer for Cambridge called to report that someone threatened to stab him because he was going to issue him a parking citation while he was parked illegally on Holyoke Street. The Traffic Parking Enforcement Officer was able to obtain a license plate of the suspect. The suspect left the area before officers arrived.

Cambridge Police responded to a business on Main Street for a report of shoplifting. A description of the shoplifter was provided to officers as well as the fact he was fleeing the location on foot. The suspect was located nearby by responding officers and was positively identified. According to the assistant manager, she witnessed the suspect grab a sweatshirt and backpack from the store and walk past all points of purchase, leave the store without paying, even after she yelled at him to stop. The suspect admitted to stealing the items from the business. He was advised that he would be summonsed to court for Shoplifting by Asportation.

A Cambridge resident was summoned to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. This was a result of a traffic stop for a red light violation on Mass Ave. at Waterhouse Street. Upon being stopped, a check of the motorist’s driver’s license revealed it had expired on 9/22/18.
