12/16/2018 10:21 INCIDENT 18008914 TRAFFIC INVESTIGATIONS	DAY STREET Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist on Massachusetts Avenue at Day Street. The cyclist, who was struck by a car door, was evaluated on scene by ambulance personnel but did not require further medical attention. The vehicle operator was issued a citation for precaution for safety of other travelers.

12/16/2018 11:27 INCIDENT 18008917 LARCENY OVER $1200 C266 S30	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A resident of Massachusetts Avenue reported a theft of a backpack which contained a MacBook laptop. The backpack was stolen between approximately 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. on December 14 while the reporting party was moving items into her apartment.
12/16/2018 12:43 INCIDENT 18008920 B&E MV / BOAT NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY C266 S16	WESTERN AVENUE Officers responded to Western Avenue for a reported breaking and entering to a motor vehicle that occurred between approximately 1:30 p.m. on December 15 and noon on December 16. The reporting party stated that several charging cords, loose change, and a Louis Vuitton purse were taken from the vehicle, which appeared to have been left unlocked.

Security video captured a possible suspect concealing the wallet and leaving the store with it at approximately 1:30 p.m.

12/16/2018 23:05 INCIDENT 18008930 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY +$1200, MALICIOUS C266 S12	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Michael Carter, 42, 235 Revere Street in Revere, was placed under arrest for Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle after kicking a police cruiser twice and denting the rear door.

12/15/2018 11:05 INCIDENT 18008892 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	RICHDALE AVENUE A resident of Richdale Avenue reported his blue Specialized 170 bicycle stolen. The bicycle was last seen on December 8 in the storage area of the reporting party’s building.
12/15/2018 11:39 INCIDENT 18008897 DISORDERLY CONDUCT c272 S53	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers responded to Harvard Square for a report of a group making threats inside a Massachusetts Avenue establishment. Upon being located by officers, one suspect fled abruptly across four lanes of heavy traffic on Massachusetts Avenue, leading officers on a foot pursuit and causing traffic to come to a complete halt. Warren Martinez, 24, 1 Church Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.

12/15/2018 12:11 INCIDENT 18008895 DISORDERLY CONDUCT c272 S53	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A male suspect who had reportedly threatened staff members of a Massachusetts Avenue establishment was observed walking through traffic, shouting aggressive remarks at nearby pedestrians, and creating a public nuisance while refusing to obey police orders to cease his behavior. Parrish Jones, 21, homeless, was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.

12/15/2018 12:46 INCIDENT 18008898 LARCENY UNDER $1200 BY SINGLE SCHEME c266 S30(1)	MEMORIAL DRIVE A resident of Watertown reported her purse stolen from a coffee shop on Memorial Drive at approximately 10:00 a.m. The purse is described as a gray Kate Spade bag containing a driver’s license, debit and credit cards, and $20 in cash.
12/15/2018 12:51 INCIDENT 18008899 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A resident of Woburn reported her wallet stolen from a Central Square establishment between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on December 14. The wallet contained a driver’s license, debit and credit cards, $85 in cash, and $100 in gift cards. The reporting party has received a notification of an attempted use of her debit card.
12/15/2018 12:51 INCIDENT 18008900 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	HARVEY STREET A resident of Cambridge reported that his vehicle was damaged in a hit and run outside his Harvey Street home between approximately 10:00 p.m. on December 14 and 12:50 p.m. on December 15. The driver’s side of the vehicle sustained heavy damage. Two notes were left on the vehicle, one from a possible suspect with minimal information and one from a witness to the crash.
12/15/2018 14:18 INCIDENT 18008901 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	GROZIER ROAD A resident of Cambridge reported that her vehicle was damaged by an unknown driver who did not leave their information. The vehicle was struck while parked on Grozier Road between approximately 1:00 p.m. on December 12 and 2:10 p.m. on December 15.
12/15/2018 15:07 INCIDENT 18008902 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A resident of Connecticut reported that her vehicle was struck in traffic by a box truck which ran a red light as it fled. The crash occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m. on December 14. The reporting party was working for a rideshare service at the time and had several rideshare passengers in the vehicle who witnessed the crash. No injuries were reported.
12/15/2018 17:17 INCIDENT 18008904 SHOPLIFTING $250+ BY ASPORTATION c266 S30A	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers responded to a Central Square business for a report of a shoplifting. Two suspects removed a Microsoft Xbox gaming console from the store without offering payment.
12/15/2018 19:15 INCIDENT 18008905 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	MAGAZINE STREET Officers responded to a Magazine Street establishment for a report of a stolen bag. The reporting party stated that the bag contained his two handicap parking placards, a small amount of cash, his identification, and various other personal items.
12/15/2018 21:18 INCIDENT 18008907 SHOPLIFTING BY ASPORTATION c266 S30A	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers at the Central Square Substation were notified of a disturbance at a nearby store. Following a search, Donald Gallo, 39, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was located and placed under arrest for Shoplifting by Asportation and Assault and Battery on a Public Employee.

12/14/2018 10:36 INCIDENT 18008860 BOMB CHEM OR BIO THREAT, FALSE C269 S14	THIRD STREET Explosive Ordnance Disposal responded to a Third Street business for a reported bomb threat made via email. This email has been sent to a large number of other companies around the country. There were no suspicious items found on the premises and the threat was determined to be false.

12/14/2018 11:39 INCIDENT 18008861 BOMB CHEM OR BIO THREAT, FALSE C269 S14	BROADWAY An unknown threat was made via social media regarding possible bombs being placed around Cambridge.
12/14/2018 12:24 INCIDENT 18008862 BY-LAW OR ORDINANCE VIOLATION DRINKING OR POSSESSI	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Two female residents of Cambridge were summonsed to court for drinking alcohol in public in Central Square after previous warnings.
12/14/2018 13:59 INCIDENT 18008866 SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE / EOD INVESTIGATION	FOWLER STREET Explosive Ordnance Disposal responded to Memorial Drive and Fowler Street for an unattended backpack on the sidewalk. The backpack was cleared with the help of a K-9 and was found to contain tools and a traffic vest.

The hit and run occurred on December 9 between approximately 4:00 and 4:45 p.m.
12/14/2018 16:14 INCIDENT 18008870 LARCENY BY CHECK UNDER $1200 c266 S37 & S30(1)	BROADWAY Officers responded to a Peabody Terrace residence for a report of a flimflam that occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. on December 11. The reporting party gave $750 in cash to an unknown suspect who stated he would return the money using an electronic check. The wire transfer never cleared to the reporting party’s account. The suspect is described as a black male around 40 years of age with gray hair and glasses.

12/14/2018 17:30 INCIDENT 18008872 VANDALIZE PROPERTY C266 S126A	BROOKLINE STREET Officers responded to a Brookline Street residence for a report of vandalism to a bicycle.

12/14/2018 18:09 INCIDENT 18008874 ASSAULT W/DANGEROUS WEAPON c265 S15B	MAIN STREET A taxi driver reported being assaulted with a knife after a road rage incident. The victim asked the suspect to move his vehicle because the suspect was parked in the bike lane and the victim did not want a bicyclist to strike either party’s vehicle. A verbal argument began and the suspect exited his vehicle, then brandished a knife and swung it at the victim. The knife tore the victim’s sweatshirt but did not make contact with his skin. The suspect fled down Main Street towards Central Square. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male in his mid-forties with a mustache and curly hair. The victim did not require medical treatment.

A witness to the crash left a note on the reporting party’s vehicle with the plate number of the suspect vehicle.

12/14/2018 20:53 INCIDENT 18008880 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	HAMPSHIRE STREET Starlone Oliveira, 27, 93 Hook Street in Allston, was placed under arrest for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Leaving the Scene of Property Damage. Oliveira struck and damaged another vehicle in traffic while driving on Prospect Street, fled towards Central Square, and was stopped further down Prospect Street a short while after the crash.
12/14/2018 22:44 INCIDENT 18008883 MOTOR VEH, MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO c266 S28	SCIARAPPA STREET Officers responded to Sciarappa Street for a report of a male suspect walking down the street and damaging the side view mirrors on parked vehicles. The suspect was described as a white male with a Santa hat hanging from his back pocket, and officers soon located an individual matching this description on nearby Binney Street. William Kleschinsky, 27, 232 North Road in Bedford, was placed under arrest for twenty-four counts of Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle after it was determined that the side view mirrors of twenty-four separate vehicles had been damaged in the incident.
