A resident of Cambridge was summonsed to court for False Report to Public Safety Dispatch. The defendant called 911 and conveyed false information to dispatchers, then terminated the call and failed to answer when dispatchers attempted to call him back, as part of a prank on a friend.

Officers responded to Broadway for a reported larceny of a motor vehicle. The reporting party’s vehicle was last seen around 12:00 p.m. on December 15 and was found to be missing at approximately 5:00 p.m. on December 16. The reporting party stated he left the vehicle locked and did not leave the keys inside.

RINDGE AVENUE

A resident of Cambridge reported being the victim of an assault and battery in an Alewife Brook Parkway restaurant. Sometime between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., an unknown suspect began a verbal dispute with the reporting party. The conflict escalated until the suspect grabbed the reporting party by the shoulders, physically escorted him from the building, and forcibly threw him to the ground outside. The reporting party sustained minor injuries as a result of the attack. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’0”, short cropped hair and/or balding, medium build, and wearing a dark colored shirt and tan pants.

BROADWAY

Officers responded to Broadway and Ellery Street for a reported motor vehicle crash resulting in personal injury. One vehicle collided with another in the intersection. One operator was transported to the hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries and both vehicles were towed due to the significant damage both sustained.

WOODROW WILSON COURT

Jonathan Dupree, 27, 7 Woodrow Wilson Court in Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Malicious Destruction of Property Over $1200. Officers responded for a report of a disturbance and located Dupree destroying items in a Woodrow Wilson Court residence. While escorting Dupree from the apartment, one of the responding officers was shoved by Dupree.

Officers responded to a Cherry Street residence for a report of a stolen bicycle. The reporting party’s gold and orange Breeze bicycle was stolen while locked to a bike rack in Central Square between 8:50 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

A report was taken for a larceny of a pair of sneakers. The reporting party was shopping in a Cambridgeside Place business after purchasing a pair of sneakers from a nearby store. The bag containing the sneakers was taken between approximately 5:30 and 6:20 p.m.

Officers responded to a Spring Street residence for a report of a package theft that occurred between approximately 12:20 and 7:29 p.m.
