MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue at Vassar Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury. Upon arrival, Officers could see a male who was later identified as Steven Germain, 28, 23 Mount Vernon Street in Gloucester, outside of his motor vehicle. After further investigation Germain was traveling at high rate of speed traveling down Massachusetts Avenue when he lost control of his motor vehicle and struck a tree at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue at Vassar Street. Upon continuing the investigation, it was deemed that Germain was under the influence of liquor and was subsequently charged with OUI- Liquor and Carrying a Firearm while under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Cambridge Police responded to a Churchill Avenue address to document a larceny of a motor vehicle report. Upon arrival officers spoke to the reporting person who stated he parked his motor vehicle on Clarendon Avenue on 12/31/2018. When the reporting person returned to his motor vehicle this afternoon, he discovered it was no longer at the last location he had parked it.

Cambridge Police arrested Nicholas Depina, 36, homeless for Breaking and Entering Nighttime for a Felony. Depina was observed by a witness, via security cameras, at approximately 5:11 a.m. to be looking around in the dark with a flashlight on the administrative side of a building at Temple Street. The witness explained that Depina did not have permission to access the building.
