Cambridge Police were flagged down on Massachusetts Avenue for the report of a past assault. Upon an investigation, Cambridge Police summonsed a homeless resident for assault and battery on a person 60 years of age or older. Also summonsed to court was a Cambridge resident for assault and battery with a deadly weapon (cane).

CARDINAL MEDEIROS AVE
Cambridge Police, Cambridge Fire Department, and Professional Ambulance responded to Cardinal Medeiros Avenue and James Way for a reported motor vehicle crash with personal injury. Upon arriving on scene and making contact with all involved parties, it was determined that injuries were minor and the patient denied medical treatment. As a result of further investigation, Kathryn Allen, 41, 5 Hillside Road in Stoneham, was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. Allen admitted to drinking multiple alcoholic beverages prior to operating her motor vehicle on Cardinal Medeiros Avenue. Additionally, responding Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Allen along with bloodshot/glassy eyes. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, it was determined that Allen was impaired.

Cambridge Police responded to Clifton Circle in an attempt to locate an individual wanted by the Watertown Police. Upon arrival it was determined that the wanted party – James Givan, 32, 808 Memorial Drive in Cambridge - was in the residence and taken into custody without incident for warrants out of Watertown District Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
