COLUMBIA ST
Cambridge Police arrested Tevin Brown, 27, 14 Grove Street in Chelsea, after a brief foot chase. He was charged with possession of a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession with the intent to distribute class D drugs, and possession with the intent to distribute class C drugs. While speaking with Brown on Washington Street, Officers observed a large heavy bulge in his front pocket. When questioned Brown fled, clutching the bulge as he ran. Brown was eventually stopped, and a loaded firearm was located in his front pocket. After being placed into custody, Officers located two individually packaged baggies of green leafy matter consistent with marijuana, a bag of while pills, a digital scale, plastic baggies and a large quantity of US currency.

A resident reported her vehicle was involved in a hit and run on Mass Ave in Cambridge. The suspect's vehicle appeared to pull over, but took off without exchanging information. The resident stated they had minor damage to the left side of their bumper and they were able to get a plate number, which matched the description they gave of the suspect's vehicle.

KIRKLAND ST
Cambridge Police along with Cambridge Fire were dispatched to the area of Kirkland Street and Sumner Road for a report of a pole down. Upon arrival, Officers observed a street light pole laying on the ground. Cambridge Fire moved the pole out of the roadway and a witness was able to provide a video that showed a box truck sideswiping the pole with the right rear of the box truck causing the pole to fall across Kirkland Street. No injuries were reported.

Shanay Veal, 30, 18 Sunnyside Street in Hyde Park, was arrested by the Cambridge Police for the following warrants out of Brockton District Court (Larceny over $1200), Cambridge District Court (Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon), West Roxbury Municipal Court (Larceny Over $1,200), and Dorchester Municipal Court (Larceny Over $1,200).

Angela DeCristofaro, 47, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was arrested for shoplifting. She was observed by an on-duty Detail Officer taking a package of bacon from the store shelf, hiding it under her coat and walking past all points of purchase before being stopped in the food court.

HAMPSHIRE ST
Cambridge Police placed Ian Millard, 29, 872 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, under arrest for tagging of public property and disorderly conduct after he was observed by officers using paint to tag a Cambridge city electric box. Upon seeing officers approaching his location, Millard ran into traffic without regard for oncoming traffic, actually striking a passing motorist vehicle as she passed in traffic. Additionally, Millard was charged with Possession of Class D with intent to distribute after 11 individual baggies were discovered in his pockets.
