While conducting a follow-up investigation into a gunshots incident that occurred Tuesday, May 21 in the area of Columbia Street and Bishop Allen Drive, the Cambridge Police yesterday arrested a 27-year-old Chelsea man on gun and drug charges.
Tevin Brown, 27, Chelsea, was arrested and will be charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License; Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License; and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class C and Class D Drugs. After briefly speaking to Brown and another male about their investigation, Officers noticed what appeared to be a possible revolver inside a pocket on the waistband area of Brown. When Officers asked what was inside the pocket, Brown did not answer them, turned around and ran down Washington Street towards Pine Street. Officers were able to quickly locate and safely take him into custody. On his possession, Officers were able to locate and take into possession a loaded revolver with five rounds of ammunition, as well as a digital scale, packaged bags of marijuana, Xanax, and more than $650 of cash.
Brown is expected to be arraigned today in Cambridge District Court.
