A manager from a business establishment ran up to an officer in Harvard Square in regards to a shoplifting that just occurred. He stated that the suspect ran down JFK Street towards Mt. Auburn Street after stealing various drinks work $10. A search for this suspect yielded negative results.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report that she was the victim of an identity theft. She checked her credit report and discovered that an unknown person(s) had used her information to open two different cell phone accounts.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Richard McPherson, 42, 15 Fenno Street in Cambridge, was arrested and charged with Vandalizing Property and Attempted Larceny. McPherson was observed by witnesses attempting cut a cable lock off a bicycle. McPherson did not cut fully through the lock, but caused significant damage to it. It was later determined that the lock and bicycle did not belong to him. McPherson admitted to police that he was attempted to steal the bicycle.
