JFK ST
A Cambridge Police Officer on patrol in Harvard Square conducted a motor vehicle stop and the involved vehicle was found to be unregistered and revoked for insurance. The vehicle was towed from the scene and a criminal application was issued to the registered owner for Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police arrested Sean Driscoll, 20, 119 Poole Circle of Quincy, James Bean, 33, 9 Wright Street in Woburn, and Michael Keefe, 42, 17 Court Street in Boston, were arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property Less Than $1,200. Police were notified of three males stealing bicycles and bike parts in the vicinity of Mass Ave. Units responded and the aforementioned defendants were found to be in possession of three bicycles, miscellaneous bicycle parts, and tools. These defendants were known to each other and were working in concert. Driscoll had a key to a lock in his pocket. It should also be noted that Bean was found to have two derailleurs, two quick release skewers, two bicycle headlights, one bicycle tail light, and miscellaneous bicycle hardware on his person. Officers also observed Keefe in possession of a bicycle tire that was consistent with the tire missing from the bicycle discarded in front of the Post Office. Additionally, Keefe had a warrant out of Falmouth District Court for Larceny Over $1,200. Driscoll is also being charged with Possession to Distribute a Class B Drug as an inventory search of a lock box attached to one of the bicycles was found to be in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.

RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY -$1200 c266 S60

BRATTLE SQ
A homeless male was encountered in Harvard Square near the front of Brattle Street in Brattle Square. The male had a bicycle with him. When asked where he got the bicycle, he said, "Obviously I stole it." When asked why he stole it, he said, "Because I needed a bike and it wasn't locked." The male's speech was slurred and he was yelling and swearing. The male had an Amazon Prime package with him which was ripped open and contained a new 10' USB Cable. The package had the name of a person who lived at Huron Avenue in Cambridge. The male could not say who's name was on the package and said he found it. The male was very intoxicated and continued yelling and swearing drawing the attention of numerous passers by in the general area. There were numerous people who took note of his loud outbursts. The male was transported by Pro Ambulance to a local hospital for an evaluation. A summons will be applied for at Cambridge District Court for the aforementioned charges.

Richard Payne, 44, homeless out of Cambridge,  and Steven Pennington, 57, homeless out of Cambridge, were arrested in public lot 5. Payne was arrested on a warrant issued out of West Roxbury District Court on 7/16/19 for Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. Pennington was arrested for drinking alcohol in public.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and River Street. The operator of the vehicle, Eric Genson, 27, 207 Mass Ave. in Boston, was found to have a warrant out of Wareham District Court for Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. He was placed under arrest and upon being searched was found to be carrying a spring-loaded knife with a blade greater than 1.5 inches. Genson will additionally be charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.
