Cambridge Police approached two men yelling at people and causing a disturbance. Matthew Nevergelt, 37, homeless, was placed under arrest for a warrant out of South Boston District Court.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Lauren Donovan, 26, 322 Bunker Hill Street in Charlestown, MA, was arrested by a Special Investigations Unit Detective and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance - Cocaine. Donovan was observed engaging in a suspected street level drug transaction with an unidentified person. Upon being stopped, two packages of cocaine were found in Donovan's motor vehicle.

While conducting surveillance in the Central Square area for bicycle thefts, Cambridge Police witnessed two black males cutting the cable lock of a bicycle on Massachusetts avenue. Both parties were stopped and identified.

At 2:40 p.m. Jose Bermudez, 54, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge was placed under arrest after he used a broken beer bottle in a fight causing several cuts to the victims arm. Jose waved the broken glass bottle back and forth while arguing with the victim.

Cambridge Police responded to a local university for a male that kicked a window.

Cambridge police filed a criminal complaint against a Boston resident, for Unarmed Robbery.  At approximately 4:10 p.m. that day, Cambridge Police responded to a shoplifting in progress on Somerville Avenue. ECC notified officers that security witnessed the defendant taking a prepaid cell phone on security camera. Security stood by the exit as the defendant attempted to leave the store. Prior to officers' arrival, the defendant shoved one of the security employees as he was exiting. The employee that was assaulted then attempted to push the defendant away as they wrestled inside of the vestibule of the store. The defendant was then able to leave the store and flee on a bicycle into Somerville.

A Cambridge resident reports sometime between 7/19/2019 at 10 p.m. and 7/20/2019 at 7 a.m., person(s) unknown entered a 2000 Lexus which was parked at his residence on Raymond Street. The motor vehicle was left unlocked. The suspect(s) entered the motor vehicle and rummaged through the glove box. Nothing was stolen and no damage was reported.

At 4:15 p.m. a Washington resident reported that she left her wallet in a rideshare car on Friday July 19, 2019 at 1 a.m. after the movies in Cambridge. She called the rideshare driver back and stated she left her wallet in the back seat. The rideshare driver stated it was not there.

Cambridge Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of Main Street and Vassar Street. After investigation, Officers determined that the operator of the motor vehicle, Eduardo Armando Cardoza Valdez, 57, 28 Kingman avenue in Revere, did not have a valid driver's license. Cardoza Valdez was arrested and charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
