CambridgeSide Half Marathon

The 2019 Cambridge Half Marathon will be held Sunday, November 3, from 7-10 a.m. It will begin and end at CambridgeSide (on First St. at Charles St.). There will be traffic impacts in and around CambridgeSide, Kendall Square, MIT, CambridgePort, Riverside, Mid-Cambridge, Harvard Square and West Cambridge, as well as parts of Boston (primarily along Soldiers Field Road).  As a result, Cambridge residents, businesses and those visiting the City will potentially be affected – to varying degrees -- by these impacts.

While the event does involve the closure of some Cambridge roadways, this is not a City sponsored event. We are working diligently with race organizers to ensure that all residents and businesses experience minimal inconvenience. Officers from the Cambridge Police and the Massachusetts State Police will be available throughout the course to assist with traffic and access where possible.

The Cambridge Half Marathon will also impact bus service along the route. Delays are expected on Route 70, Route 64, Route 86, Route 01, and Route 66. It is best to consult www.mbta.com, the MBTA app or their social media accounts for more information on detours and delays.
