Cambridge Police arrested John Hall, 40, 236 Pearl Street in Cambridge, for Operating Under the Influence. The defendant was observed by officers operating a motor vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue. The defendant then performed an illegal right turn from Massachusetts Avenue onto Brookline Street. Officers immediately conducted a motor vehicle stop on the motor vehicle being operated by the defendant. Officers then noticed the defendant's eyes were glossy and bloodshot as well as the defendant's speech was slurred and the smell of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the defendant's breath. Officer noticed that there an open container of alcohol in the cup holder of the defendant. The defendant also performed standard field sobriety tests, which showed signs of impairment.
