A resident of Grant Street called to report that she suspected that someone broke into her neighbor's house located on Athens Street sometime overnight because she observed a broken rear window last evening to this residence. Units responded and found a front door open and rear window smashed in. The residence was cleared and there were no occupants at the time. Detectives responded and processed the scene and the owner was notified.

John Ruggiero, 24, 62 Ferncroft Road in Somerset, was placed under arrest in front of First Street. He was charged with Shoplifting and Trespassing from a mall department store. He had concealed $538.00 worth of merchandise and walked out of the store without paying for the items. It was also determined that he had a warrant out of Quincy District Court for similar charges.
