A Boston man will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle (M.G.L c90 s10), Unregistered Motor Vehicle (M.G.L c20 s9), and No Inspection Sticker (M.G.L c90 s20). The male was stopped after officers responded to a call for a suspicious male driving a car without license plates.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
On 05/01/2020, Cambridge Police responded to the 900 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle in progress. A description of the suspect was broadcast and a suspect matching the description was stopped a short distance away from the incident. As a result of this police response, William Cruz, 30, of 37 Union St. Cambridge was placed under arrest for malicious damage to a motor vehicle and attempt to commit a crime. In addition, Cruz was discovered to have two warrants for his arrest: a warrant out of Boston District Court for malicious destruction of property -$1200 and a warrant out of Brookline District Court for Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon, Assault and Battery on +60/disabled and threat to commit a crime.

A Boston man, and Lowell man reported while driving in Cambridge, they were shot at numerous times. No injuries were reported but ballistic evidence was recovered from the scene.

As a result of the investigation Sage Ballard, 19, 67 Thingvalla Ave, Cambridge, was arrested on numerous firearms- related charges.

A homeless male will be summonsed to court for Assaulting a police officer. The involved male was identified as a suspect in an unarmed robbery inside the Harvard Sq. MBTA station. He then became aggressive and confrontational with investigating officers who attempted to speak with him.
