Further investigation revealed William Hegarty, 33, 85 East Newton Street in Boston, and Matthew Harrington, 29, 16 Ellsworth Avenue in Cambridge, were in possession of a brown powdered substance believed to be heroin. Both parties were arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A Substance). Additionally, Hegarty was also arrested for a warrant for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle out of Brockton District Court

Cambridge Police responded to the 500 block of Mass Ave for a report of a disturbance. Christopher Hagins, 40, 820 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge, and another male were observed in a verbal altercation. As officers approached, the victim yelled that Hagins had just put a knife to his throat and threatened to slit it. Multiple witnesses confirmed the events and Hagins was found in possession of a black straight razor, matching the description of the weapon used in the assault. Hagins was placed under arrest for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Fitzmaurice was stopped as he was a suspect in a previous bicycle theft. Following an investigation, it was determined he was wanted out of Virginia on a Probation Violation Warrant stemming from a Robbery charge.
