Jarid Delaney, 31, 74 Wellington Hill in Boston, was arrested for Shoplifting by Asportation. Delaney walked into a liquor store in Central Square, took a bottle and a beer can, and placed them into an opaque shopping bag. When approached by security, Delaney ran out of the store. CPD chased Delaney across multiple blocks in Central Square before apprehending him on Bishop Allen Drive.

A Cambridge resident reported being scammed after receiving several calls from persons she believed to be employees of the Social Security Administration and the FBI. The resident withdrew a large amount of money and deposited it in a Bitcoin account, bought gift cards, and gave an unknown person(s) the card and PIN numbers.
